Revenue Agency: open call for free computer transfer, expires on February 3

The procedure is now open for participation in the call for applications announced by the Revenue Agency for the request to be assigned electronic equipment being decommissioned and previously used by the Agency. Applications must be sent by 12:00 noon on February 3, 2023, through the online procedure called Phoenice on the FiscoOggi website.

The decision to donate its IT equipment that is no longer in use but still suitable is aimed at increasing the supply of schools, local authorities, public and private non-profit associations, and others.

The Agency - as specified in a note on its website - to ensure the best efficiency of its devices, constantly renews its supply of IT electronic equipment. Hence the idea to donate its still highly efficient equipment to local entities that request it.

To ensure a fair and transparent procedure and to minimize costs, it has been established that:

  • requests must be sent exclusively via certified email (PEC) to the email address cessionigratuite@pec.agenzientrate.it and must be completed using the Phoenice application.
  • Assignment will take place by lottery, due to the expected high number of requests.

It will also be possible to submit the request using the certified email provided free of charge to all citizens by the official institutional Government website.

Who can participate

The entities authorized to participate are:

  • state and parochial schools of local authorities.
  • public administrations.
  • Public and private entities belonging to the following categories: non-profit associations and entities registered in the appropriate association register; foundations and other public or private institutions with legal personality, non-profit; unrecognized associations, as per art. 36 C.C., which have their own statutory instrument from which the absence of profit-making purposes can be unequivocally deduced; civil protection volunteer organizations registered in the appropriate registers, operating in Italy or abroad for humanitarian purposes; private parochial schools (as defined by art. 1, paragraph 2, Law 62/2000); other entities and organizations, not included in the previous points, whose activity is of public utility.

The requests considered will be those sent last in chronological order; it is also possible to send multiple requests from a single email address.

All requests will be identified by the tax code of the entities or by the school code in the case of public schools.

The supply of decommissioned equipment

The agency specifies that the decommissioned electronic material consists of Personal Computers (PCs) and laptops, Servers as well as components (mice, keyboards, monitors, etc.).

The AE specifies that there will be no assistance or support on the equipment provided and, if necessary, the PCs will not have an operating system.

The full call for applications is available on the Revenue Agency website, where the communication methods for collection and the delivery procedure are explained in detail.
